The results of this year’s survey will inform important University-wide projects, including renewal of our institutional Athena Swan, Race Equality Charter and Stonewall Workplace Equality Index awards and the work the Race Equality Task Force, and actions will be formulated at both institutional and local levels.
The survey was launched on 27 April, and will be open until 18 May. For the first time the University have engaged an external supplier, People Insight, to run the survey on our behalf. All survey responses will go directly to them and be de-identified before any data is shared with us, so please use this as an opportunity to be completely open and honest.
We know that people’s experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic have been very different but this makes it more important than ever to hear your views. We also know that many colleagues are dealing with additional pressures at the moment but we hope that you will spare the time to complete the survey. The survey question set has been refined to minimise the number of questions asked. The survey should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete. Your feedback does make a difference.
There is further information about the survey, including FAQs, at: edu.admin.ox.ac.uk/staff-experience-survey. You can find a report of the 2018 survey and read about the changes that were introduced at: edu.admin.ox.ac.uk/past-staff-experience-survey.
Within NDM we use the data, as well as other sources, to underpin the development and implementation of action plans and targeted projects. The data allows us to provide meaningful tracking on areas where we have made changes, to inform future action, and to highlight and celebrate where improvements have been made for our Athena SWAN award applications. We would ask all staff to please complete the survey, as it provides such valuable data for us. In order for you to view the previous results and get a sense of some of the initiatives that have been implemented as a result of your feedback, please see our NDM Staff Survey Findings page.
