To close the Centenary year, the Vice Chancellor Professor Louise Richardson will introduce a panel of inspirational women alumnae to a VIP audience in the Sheldonian Theatre. Spanning careers in STEM public policy and media, our panellists will reflect on their experiences at Oxford across the last 40 years and on the challenges, as well as opportunities they see for women’s education and gender equality in the 21st Century.
The panel will be moderated by Reeta Chakrabarti, leading journalist and BBC news broadcaster.
Panellists are
- Dr. Anne-Marie Imafidon, mathematician, computer scientist and entrepreneur, and co-founder of Stemettes, an award-winning social initiative dedicated to inspiring and promoting the next generation of young women in STEM.
- Baroness Ruth Hunt, leading LGBT+ activist, former President of Oxford University Student Union, former Chief Executive of Stonewall (2014-19), and current member of the House of Lords.
- Varaidzo Kativhu , LinkedIn Changemaker, role model and passionate advocate for access to education, with a social media following of nearly 200,000. Vee is currently studying for her Master's in International Education policy at Harvard University.

The in-person event in the Sheldonian Theatre will follow government guidelines, including a mandatory face-covering policy and maintaining a 2m distance between seated guests.
