100 Women of Oxford Medical Sciences
100 years since women were admitted as full members of the University of Oxford, women now hold vital posts at all levels of this institution.
Across 16 departments and numerous affiliated units, the women of Medical Sciences come from all walks of life, from all backgrounds, from all over the world. In the Medical Sciences it doesn’t just take a village, it takes a city to do what we do, including researchers, professors, clinicians, physiotherapists, research nurses, administrators, fundraisers, students, custodial staff, receptionists, teachers, lecturers, trainers and many, many more.
The 100 Women of Oxford Medical Sciences project includes 100 of these women showcasing the diversity of roles they now hold. They reflect on their journeys, their place in Medical Sciences and their vision for the next 100 years. Each woman in the project represents countless more working in our labs, in our offices and in our lecture theatres to make the Division, the University and the Medical Sciences a better place.
